Do you REALLY think that my asking price is TO THE ROOF???
The head gasket set is $125
The head bolt set is $128
I included that in the price, as you'll need these to do the job.
That's just over $250 right there, so in reality, I'm asking $650 for a pair of BRAND NEW, fully assembled cylinder heads.
Priced Trick Flows lately? They're $730.....EACH, or $1460/pr.
Priced Edelbrocks? They're $875......EACH, or $1750/pr.
It seems to me, my asking price of $650 for the pair, is pretty reasonable.

(deep breath) The fact that you haven't been able to sell this stuff at the price you're asking since June of last year should answer that question for you. They're obviously not priced right if you haven't moved them yet.
It may be true some or all those parts would be required for installation, maybe those aren't necessarily the parts another person would want to use with those heads. You might be better served selling the bolts and gaskets separately.
With all due respect, you're not selling Trick Flow or Edelbrock heads, you need to take a look around at what a set of stock LT1 heads sell for, and go from there. The LT4 valve springs are inexpensive and are inadequate for anything other than a stock LT1 cam w/1.6 ratio rocker arms. Also, even if these are "brand new" castings, there's nothing special about that; even if used heads need guides and/or decked, that isn't prohibitively expensive.
Additionally, the casting number on the heads is "561"; the "major" cylinder head porters normally prefer the "374" or "643" castings to use as cores. The 561s have a little less "meat" on them for porting and thus less HP potential if one were to go that route.
I hope this can help you better understand where you should be pricing the heads if your interest is selling them. Good luck.

First of all, they didn't really display any serious interest in purchasing the heads, since they didn't even make an offer. Secondly, a reasonable person would understand what porting work costs. A quick look at the Advanced Induction website states flat out, their labor charge is $1700, to port castings supplied by the customer, so the comment that "they should be, for that price" is WAY out of the ballpark.
Anyway, thanks for your comments.......
