I was planning on building an Iron Block LS3 but have decided to go another route:

LS3 Top-End Conversion (for 4.000" Bore or Greateer.... LQ4, LQ9, LS2) Asking $1700 for the whole package (buyer pay shipping).
* 823 casting, rectangular port heads with springs, valves, and rockers
* LS1 valve Covers
* LY6 Coils (8x)
* LS3 Fuel Rail Covers
* L77 Intake Manifold + Rail + Injectors
* LS3 Gold Plated Throttle Body

I am not willing to separate the parts listed above (so please don't ask if I'm willing to separate). I also have the following parts for sale

Stock bore LQ4 ? isn't that more of a LY6 build without the GenIV rods and VVT ?

Yeah, you're right as far as performance goes. It does have the lower profile (LS3 style) intake manifold and throttle body. Also, I've decided to keep the LQ4 shortblock for now.
