Default WTB t56 and conversion parts (94 Trans am)

Im looking for everything to convert my A4 into a M6. At the moment though,
I'm mainly looking just for the transmission, but if you have like a package deal or something maybe we can work a deal out.
Im looking mainly for a low mileage or rebuilt, has to be perfect working order !
I am located in North East Pennsylvania, ill even drive a reasonable distance to pick it up.
>>>>also if anyone can direct me to a write up, I would greatly appreciate it.

I will also trade or sell my recently rebuilt A4 and accessories (pedals.. ect). It was rebuilt locally by a performance transmission shop and I have receipts to prove it.

I have just about everything you'll need for the conversion. The T56 is completely rebuilt and upgraded. It's the M29 unit with the lower gearing, perfect for a 3.73 car. Makes it equal out to having 4.10s. This T56 has the steel 3-4 shift fork, billet keys, and re-sized 5-6 mainshaft journals. Warrantied for one year, unlimited mileage.
Also have the T56 pedals, crossmember, bellhousing w/ slave spacer, clutch fork w/ pivot bolt, and complete clutch hydraulics (master/slave/line/resevoir).
All you will need is a clutch, flywheel, and shifter to complete the swap.

The price for all the above items is $2000 firm. I can accept any method of payment, but add 3% ($60) for Paypal or CC to cover the fees.

I can ship it all in 2 separate boxes & I have a UPS account, so it will just be $100 for shipping. The grand total would be $2100 shipped. I can keep this price as long as you send a check or money order. Or add $60 for Paypal or if you want to call in with a credit card or debit card.

I have a T56 from a 93 formula with 72000 miles that I can do for 1000 shipped. I may also have the cross member that I can through in but I don't remember off hand.

You should check in the manual transmission section and see the issues with buying used ones. If you buy one for lets say... $1000. You install it and it grinds... well odds are it might be something internal. Now you have to rebuild, which will cost about $600-$1000. Basically you are taking a big risk buying a used t56. It might be cheap but its cheap for a reason. I have seen 30,000 mile t56's come in and they are beat pretty bad. The miles aren't the issue. It's the driver who doesn;t know how to drive a stick. You should get a trans that has warranty. It will save you a ton of money in the long run.

Yeah, ive been thinking about it. Ive had a few sponsors contact me and even though it's a little more expensive, I think it will be better in the long run. I was hoping for a used trans for around 500 which wouldnt be so bad, but so far people have been selling them for as much as a refurb.

You could always buy a used one and send it out for a rebuilt. That's what I did when I swapped in my T56. I bought a used one that had a known problem for like $600 and sent it to Tick to have them rebuild it. I think I still came out on top.

That's another way to go.. But transmissions with known problems are the worst. You gambled on the one you bought and maybe came out ok. We get customers daily with... " oh it's just 2nd gear that grinds"..... We open it up and damn.... 3 other gears are on the way out. Then they get mad because they paid 800 for a trans that supposedly only had a bad second gear. Now they are out 700 on the rebuild plus the parts of the gears...another $450. It starts adding up. To the o.p... good luck on what you decide to do.

Most used T56s are going for $800-1200 on the average. I usually pay $400-600 for broken (core) T56s, then rebuild them and sell. The rebuilt/upgraded T56s go for $1800 outright all day long. About 90% of the time, you'll come out ahead by buying a known broken T56 for cheap, then get it rebuilt. A rebuild can be anywhere from $700 to $1500 depending on what all is broken. So its still a gamble.
Basically, I've already done this with the LT1 T56 that I offered to you in my above post. I figured I can make you a deal for $1700 on the trans, and all the other conversion parts for $300, so $2000 total.
Good luck with your project!

I've got a 79,000 mile T-56 in perfect working order, just needs a tailshaft seal (simple 5 minute job or less). I know for a fact that it's in perfect working order, because I pulled it along with my entirely stock drivetrain to swap in completely built stuff, now the setup in my sig.
$1,000 plus ship. I'd meet you partway for a little extra money if you didn't want to ship(I'm in IL).
I also have clutch hydraulics (Master, slave, and reservoir in excellent condition) still sealed. No bleed needed. If you gave me the asking price for my trans I'd throw in the hydraulics for free.

He already bought the built tranny that I had offered above. Thanks!

To the above poster, nobody's going to buy from you with such crappy trader feedback.
