Do you need the front cover with the cam position sensor hole?

Yes. Ls2/3 front covers have the cam sensor in the front

1- from a 2005 Corvette LS2
1- from a 2009 Chevy Express with a LY6 & VVT

Well I can get a bare cover from my work for $28 I am looking for a deal on one with the sensor and harness. I Am not really interested in the truck one since it has the stuff for VVT
