Default need an Fbody 98-02 NO PLAY OR LOOSENESS steering column

I have paid to get the play in my steering fix and it lasted for a few months then went back to how it was before. The issue I'm having is with the housings and tilt pins. I also have replaced the column with one from another member on here that said there was no issue.... so much for that its 2x as bad now. Mind you I rarely use the steering tilt, I set it where I want and leave it like that. So I am looking for a column without any slop, play, or looseness issues.

Default F-Body Steering Unit

Hi. I have a unit out of an F-Body with the steering wheel and airbag assembly fully intact, and NO PLAY. The steering wheel has tilt steering and no problems there. The wheel as you can tell doesn't come with the buttons, but I'm sure you can swap over the one that you would prefer or I can locate one that does for you.
It came out of a lower mileage car and will update you as soon as I look over my inventory today or sometime this weekend for sure. Please let me know if you are still interested in this complete unit. I also have many many parts available for a lot of F-Bodies, GTO's, and some CTS and will get into the C5 and C6 Vettes soon in the Summer. $140. Thank You.

Good condition steering wheel with no button controls

NO PLAY in the shaft, mounting points, or the tilt steering portion.

I just replaced my column with one out of a 30k mile garage queen that was rear ended... same amount of play as my old one. I'm thinking of trying an oversize tile pivot pin from here:

It's horrible isn't it? My old 99 trans am steering column had no play and 106k miles, my buddies 02 ss had 110k miles and no play. I guess it's just a hit and miss with these columns, I was considering doing the oversized pin but I hate to have to spend $100 for a couple of pins and still not completely fix the issue.

Yes it is... apparently the left pin is the issue and replacing one side will fix it. I tried to pull the whole thing apart and I never could find the problem.

The holes the pins go into wear it and turn more of an egg shape so unless you take the upper and lower housing out you can't really see the problem. If you end up doing the over sized pin and it works out well, let me know.

I took both housings off and I couldn't wiggle the pin by hand, but I guess it needs some torque applied to move. I'll let you know if I end up ordering one. Good luck on your search.
