WTB: Damaged/junk aluminum bare block or shortblock in New England
Got a Gen III+ aluminum block or shortblock hanging around? Maybe spun a bearing or cracked the block or something like that and want to get rid of it?
I'm pondering building a static engine display so something completely destroyed (for example: a few rods escaped the side of the block) is no good. But it won't be used in an actual car so a relatively hidden crack or a spun bearing or some other fatal but minor catastrophe is just fine with me.
Prefer New England area so I can pick it up. Shipping a scrap 100lb+ block alone would probably not be worth it.
Would be willing to pay, just nothing obscene for what is essentially junk.
