I'm looking for a good turbo for my ls1 swap s10 I have a 76mm on3 now but I have decided to take this truck a little more extreme and I like to get a turbo to get me right at 1000 hp and be able to live for a while prefer t4 flange but if the price was right I'd go to a t6 looking for 76-88mm maybe in the s400.or s475 area not sure exactly what works best I'm new to turbos but I have a fully forged 5.3 bored to ls1 size all ARP studs so hope.to go 20lbs or so I'm not rich so if its a 1500$ turbo I can't afford it thank u

s480 would be the ticket but its bigger than the 76mm

I would love to put a s480 on the truck that would surely put me where I want to be a guy I know runs nearly the same motor as me with a heavier Nova and a s475 and i.pretty much will do anything to beat that car

Swapping the turbo is easy as far as getting bigger for power but make sure you have enough fuel for the motor to make the power. And don't rule out a pt88 its smaller than s480 and will make the power level you desire but its 1600 for the turbo.

I don't have myself set on any one turbo the one I can afford that makes the best power for me is the one that gets bolted on with 80lb injectors holley rails and stealth fuel pump I should be able to support my 1k HP goal I've built the entire truck to be rdy but I really don't want to have a tune put on it till I swap turbos but if I can't get one soon I'll just use the 76mm and be glad I have one to use at all I suppose

I don't think 80lbs injectors will run you to 1000whp mine run out of juice at 850 or so at 45psi fuel pressure
