its not easy. thats why people charge alot to do it generally. I explained it to you in my pm though. You have to drill out every spot weld along the seams. You have to remove the fberglass panel that goes across behind the t-tops. Its just glued on. So basically... remove the roof panel, drill out all the spot welds, weld new panel in.

it was pretty easy last time i did it, i am fixing to put 2 on right now, you can split it without taking the top bonnet off right below it, thats what most people do , you can get a new quarter panel at gm for around 400.00 , the panel behind the t-tops is actually urathaned on and will need to be wired off with windshield cutting wire, takes 2 people and about 10 minutes , worst parts is driiling the old quarte panel off to make it look god enought to reuse

I wouldn't say its really that easy for someone with no experience in wrecked fbodies/ repair work. The sail panel does need to be removed. You may as well do it right the first time and not splice that panels somewhere else. Make sure all the gaps are right before you tack the new on in.

well i have both sides on another car. but that pannel (sail) between T-tops and hatch. i got some windshield wire to try to get off and didnt work. went to a local repair shop and they told me to cut along the angled area of the qtr right under the sail. weld a new in and clean it up with a die grinder. can anyone explain how the hell to get that top piece off. i would rather do that and not cut and ****. i would rather just drill spots out and pull off as a whole.
