Need 99-02 trunk latch Spring mod wore out my striker so I have to pull on the hatch now while hitting the release to actually get it to release....will need pictures from the top angle (if installed on a car) before I buy to make sure it's not worn out like mine and the one I just bought.

Right...I did the spring mod when I bought the car new 6 years ago. Problem is, the two piggybacked springs apparently put too much tension on the latch and bent out the big lever on the latch that catches the underside of the hatch. So now I'm kinda wishing I hadn't done the spring mod.
