most likely the stock lsx controllers will do what 95% of people need them to do

Yeah for the most part the stock pcm's are far more advanced than the aftermarket controllers with far more resolution. There are some things the aftermarket controllers can do a little better but those cases are pretty rare. We've seen 9 second cars running the stock pcm so they are pretty good.
