Standalone TCM
i want to use a standalone TCM for my 4L60 E tranny. do they make one? my carbed motor would be nice in front of an overdrive tranny. any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I know i can use a 700R4 but ive already got the electric assist tranny and it would be easier just to use what i have.

alright cool. because i want to use the stock gauge cluster and speedometer. with a 700R there would be a ton of stuff to change. i have to get a schematic of my car for the wiring of my factory tach to the hei distributor. but i might just put about a ten inch soup bowl tach with a 400 watt shift light, haha. thanks alot. never fails this forum has the best feedback ive ever expierenced

I know a guy using a TCI box for his 4L80E
and though it lacks some of the features of
PCM-controlled shifting, it's been trouble-free
(and you tune it with its own buttons, not a
laptop).

no, thats a little too much for what i want to do with the car. if my lady wants to drive it to go to the store or something i want her to be able to figure out how to drive the thing. plus, i just want a street car that is no doubt "streetable". MVB is too much for me. plus, with the PCS system i can use the stock cluster and from what ive been reading the capability of adjusting with the TCM is really cool too
