Default Tune on a complete stock engine?

I know this question sounds crazy. But it would be a long, long time before I could get all the other stuff. It a 2002 SS, it only has a SLP dual-dual catback and a Y-pipe {one thing I was able to purchase}. I'm wanting to know if a tune would still give it a little power even though I don't have much done to it or really anything at all done to it?

If you get someone that knows how to tune it should help. My car with only a lid and a Borla catback picked up 10hp to the wheels after I had it tuned.

What kinds of things would need to be changed? I have this same question as well, as I am looking to learn more about tuning.

A little more advance timing might not hurt. Adjusting the VE to get it dead on. Changing the PE to optimize best mean torque and peak power. If it is an A4, torque management and shift characterstics. M6, getting rid of skip shift.

In other words, even a stock car should see some impressive gains from a good tune.

Go for it!
