Default BS3 O2 sensor giving bad readings under WOT, help needed!

Has anyone ever had a O2 sensor on a BS3 car freak out? It reads fine most of the time, but under WOT it will go right at 14.4 A/F and stay there, then go back to reading properly. It doesn't gradualy go up, it shoots straight up, and stays at the 14.4 constantly, until it knose dives back down to what the real reading is. The tuner wanted to try out a new wideband, we put it on, and the same thing happened.
The next things he wants to try, is to reroute the wideband cable, to make sure its not picking up inferance from something else. The other thing he mentioned is that the voltage is dropping down 10.8 at the end of a WOT run, and maybe that has something to do with it. What do you guys think? This is a very knowledgable and well respected tuner, so I do trust him. I just would like to hear more ideas on things that I can try out. What do you guys think? I can post the BS3 logs if needed. Thanks

I would think the low voltage would be causing an issue, especially at WOT, where the voltage demands would be highest. A booster pack would confirm on the dyno.

I will get a Caspers Electronics volt booster, and that should stop the voltage issue so we can see if thats the problem. Any other ideas? thanks

Volt booster???
Fix the problem w/ the system.
Wiring?
Alternator output?
Battery?
A VB IS NOT the way to correct this.

There is not much else I can do with the system. Under crusing and part throttle, the voltage is fine at 13.5volts. It only drops under WOT. I have upgraded the big 3 wires, the alternator is 200 amps, the battery is a brand new Interstate that has 1000 cold cranking amps, 800 cranking amps.
There are just a lot of things on the car. BigStuff3 computer, electric water pump, methanol injectin pump, Magnafuel 4303 fuel pump that draws ALOT of power, trans cooler fan, and other little stuff.

the voltage messes with it...I threw an alt belt and my voltage dropped into the 10s and my WB showed dead lean (like yours) but it was really stupid pig rich (black smoke)

is the BS3 wired directly to the battery (both hot and ground)?

Good to know that you guys think it is the voltage issue. I will try to fix that and go from there.
Yup, the BS3 is wired directly to the battery, + and -

A system that costs that much should have much better control over the sensor.... of course a system that costs that much (and controls things that cost a bunch) really has no business with a cheapo Bosch WBO2 anyway.

It would be really nice to have NGK WB support with BS3, especially given the number of cars wanting to run leaded fuel.

I've seen this happen on a few BS3 cars. Re-routing the wideband wire as far away from the ignition wires helps. I've also been able to make the problem appear/disappear by switching from non resistor to resistor spark plugs.

Too bad I didnt know about the spark plugs causing this..I ended up selling/parting out the car before we were able to solve the issue.

Yes, I had this issue with BS3 (and the occasional F-body BCM) with non-resistor as well.

It's not all about the plugs though; the majority of the non-resistor plug cars that I have seen with it worked just fine.

I'm having this problem as well with mine. Going to try and sort it out tomorrow. Stupid that a system that is so expensive has stupid issues like this.
