Re: what pcm will work in an 01? i just need to throw one in to test out something and make sure its the pcm thats goofy. read my other post in this section about my speedo.

Re: what pcm will work in an 01? There may be a couple of very minor differences but the 99 and up F-body PCM's are essentially the same. You should be able to plug any one of them into another and it should come up and run ok. Just make sure it's from an F-body.

Re: what pcm will work in an 01? The most desirable service part number is 12200411. I just bought one from a wrecking yard for $125. This one was from an f-body, but you can get one from any LS1 vehicle. You will have to have it flashed with the f-body program if it is not already from an f-body. You can do this at a GM dealer and some auto parts stores. I did this at an O-Reilly store. All you need is a VIN number so their system can download the latest flash for the year f-body.
