Computer tune for cam sawp?

I am wondering if I will need to have my computer reprogrammed if I were to swap the stock 2001 camaro cam with a stock GTO cam.

That's a lot of time to spend on something that isn't even guaranteed to generate gains..

if it's an 04 GTO then no, if it's a later model then you have some hardware changes as outlined by Ed here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/pcm-diagnostics-tuning/1014679-2005-gto-camshaft-into-2000-ls1-pcm-changes.html
