Default Crank relearn procedure?

I'm having my PCM reflashed by the dealer and was told to also do a crank relearn procedure.What exacly is this and what does it do? THANX IN ADVANCE!

i think u have to have a EASE scanner or somethign like that and tell the PCM to crank relearn

If the dealer is going to reflash the computer, seems the Dealer would have all the required info for you.

This doc explains the ckp relearn

You can do it with EFILive if you have the Pro
verison.
A dealer with a Tech2 can also do it.
It only takes about 30 seconds.

That is correct Ease's GM OBD-II Personal scanner not only gives you bi directional functions free so you do not need to buy some Pro version but also this month can get body/chassis functions, and Warp mode included.
For CKS relearn you Just click on command while car/truck is parked and engine running above 4800 RPMs

This is what you call TOOTH ERROR LEARN, right?
EFILive V5 calls it tooth error learn.
EFILive V6 calls it crank position sensor relearn.
I suggest using EFILive V6 (free upgrade) instead of V5 as EFILive V6 will "walk you through" the relearn procedure with on screen feedback and instructions
