Default Changing tach output to "normal" 8cyl output in HPT

I assume that you are adjusting the sin wave output from the computer using this area of HPT:

Does anyone know what numbers to put here to change from 4 cylinder output to 8 cylinder? Using my extraordinary keen electrical principles knowledge I would say put it at 12.

Or am I completely off my rocker?

3 and 3, you want to double the output not half it.

it's counting 24x pulses per high and low of the tach.

6 high and 6 low = 2x tach
3 high and 3 low = 4x tach

Both 3's were too low and both 4's to high on my 3rdgen.
I ended up doing 4 and 3. It reads a couple hundred high at most at idle and when I step on it it gets even closer as the RPMS go up.
It would be nice if HPtuners made it so you could do decimals like 3.5
