Default hpp3 to ls1edit

How much of a difference will there be if I go from HPP3 to LS1 Edit. I have not taken my ruck to the track, but lets assume it runs a 14.5. How much will ls1 edit lower my 1/4 mile et.

Quite a bit since you have headers; you are probably running way rich. I'd guess you would pick up 20 hp.

Why do you think I am running way too rich?

There have been many statements to the effect that adding headers will lean your car out. Once the PCM realizes it is getting lean it richens the system and thus overdoes it because it is assuming stock manifolds not free flowing headers. This is no expert here just reiterating read material from External engine.

I have a crappy hypertech and I have to say that after reading posts and seeing what LS1edit does, you can never really call the Hypertech a proggrammer again. With LS1edit you can fine tune every parameter of your engine to get it to run with anything that you have done to your vehicle. HPPIII could only do one program which leans your car out a bit to scrounge for more power and that is it. LS1edit you can remove codes permanently and do other none power adjustments i.e. idle. I made the mistake of buying a HPPIII now if I can only get rid of it so I can buy a-tap and LS1-edit.

Don't mean to steal the thread but, Would LS1-EDIT be ok for a newbie or just leave it up to the experts!

I think you have already answered that question yourself as I know I have . I do not think that someone can buy a program that they have no idea about and ever expect to use it. I plan on buying A-tap with EFIlive so that I can get used to logging my car's parameters. I believe that should be the way to go because as people have said EFIlive is not permanent. I think all newbies would love a NON-PERMANENT logging tool.
