Default I need some help!

Ok, Ive got an LT1 with a TC-78. im looking to push it to whatever it takes to make 700RWHP. I thought I was set on what setup I was going to run but recently some ppl have tried to deter me... I had origianly planned on breaking the back and jsut get an BS3 or FAST but in this economy I jsut cant do it. so that brought me down to just running my stock PCM and having to suffer. that was untill I found POWEREFI.com. I had thoguht about using MSII but building it from scratch and then tuning it without tech support(forums are great but sometimes they jsut cant give you enough). This setup incorporates MSII into the stock PCM for a plug and play setup...

Now I thought that was perfect but recently a local guy who seems to know his stuff has told me that I would regret it and that i really need to jsut suck it up and go with a "Name Brand BS3 or FAST" setup... he also mentioned some of the reasons he didnt like it saying it wasnt user freindly and it would do strange things like change values in tables randomly...

So I need some reasurances that what I had planned on going with (powerEFI) isnt going to leave me with a pile of LT1 parts strewn all over the ground....

Default

If table values change randomly, I would look to
things like inadequate supply decoupling (RAM
based tables can drop bits when the rails bounce).
An EEPROM based table ought to be stable for
10+ years, although there can be defects that
shorten retention time.

Rule 1 of the Interwebz: No matter how good it is,
somebody hates it and no matter how crappy it is,
somebody's in love. And they all need to tell you
about it.

Now MegaSquirt may or may not be the way to go,
but you need enough context / "votes" from real
users to tamp down the noise. As in most business,
expect that the ones hollering the loudest, are the
furthest from the norm. Though if the norm -is- to
holler about it, that's all you need to know. And
that would be pretty plain, if so.
