Default Idle tuning for smog sniffer test

any general tips?

car does fine everywhere but idle.

they said hydrocarbons were too high.

run the car engine as close to 230 as possible for the test.

Beat the **** out of it prior to the test to get the cats smokin hot, do not shut the car off while waiting in line, manually raise the idle just for the test.

If that doesn't work your cam is too big.

What wait says, also I would have fresh oil, hotter plugs and a high idle..This is one of the reasons that from the factory the temps are in the 220-230 degree range to help emissions...
