Default LAUNCHING HELP BY TIMING REDUCTION

I know this has been used and banned in NHRA recently
but I thought this would be an interesting subject

The MSD 7 programmable ignition has a table for timing
that people have been using for launching their cars,
most of the timing is "killed" in first gear (roughly to just past the 60' mark),your standard curve is reduced by .1 to whatever in 100 rmp increments.
it is activated by either a proximity sensor on the shifter
or a switch, then when the car is shifted it goes back to your standard timing table

Most of the racers are taking in excess of -10to-15 degrees timing retard!!!!

Soooooo what I am getting at here is the IAT trick on a relay.....
you set yourself up a timing table that is great at the track then set up a fixed resistor on a relay that can be activated
by a push button switch( prefferably a two or three button
for the nitrous guys like me
wire it up just like the nitrous IAT trick except on a relay
take out 15 to start on your timing table in the IAT section

I am getting ready to start on mine right now, this is mainly geared towards street racing considering traction is usually a joke there

happy tuning!!!!!!!!!!
