Default Synergy 2 step question

I can't seem to find the installation instructions for a 98 auto. Anyone have these handy or know where I can find them? Their website has been closed so thats out of the question. I found instructions that red93 had for a 99-02, but those are different.

Thanks kp! I don't have a transbrake, so should I route it to the brake light switch and you wouldn't happen to know where that is would you?

Is Synergy still open ? Im looking to buy a 2 step and the Lingenfelter one stays on all the time if you have a 6speed. So everytime you push in the clutch it hits the 2 step as per other threads.

you can look up rick@synergy and it says banned.

he is a real nice guy. so dont let the "banned" come off as a bad term. it could have been something a simple as sponsorship dues or a simple disagreement.

You could just put a flip switch in line so it only activates when you want it to while the clutch is in.

It would be hard to flip a switch when Im leaving @ 6600 rpm and on 2 nitrous kits going mid nines. I wish Harlin was still making them.

Default Lingenfelter 2-step "always on"

Sorry to continue this topic that isn't really part of the original thread but...

Regarding the Lingenfelter 2-step being active on every shift on a manual transmission car, it depends on how you choose to activate it.

If you are using a clutch switch you can also use our MPH activated switch (STOV-001) to disable the 2-step once you are moving.

We also have several customers that allow the 2-step to trigger during the shifts to use it as an engine torque cut to help shifts and allow them to no lift shift.

What about a brake light switch for the automatic guys?

Default Brake light switch

We have several automatic customers that have the 2-step wired to the brake light switch (with an inline switch so that it can be disabled under normal driving).

I assume the Synergy unit could also be wired to the brake light switch.

I believe the 6 speed guys use them so you're not tagging the rev limiter on the power shift. That and you didn't clarify you were talking solely about track use. Because of those 2 things I thought you were talking about driving on the street and being on the 2 step when you mashed the clutch. Still easily fixed with a momentary switch like used for a trans brake in conjunction with the clutch operation.
To the OP, mine is setup off the brake light switch, found under the dash above the brake pedal, and a window switch with WOT detect. Works like a charm. Brake pressed, foot to the floor = 2 step active. Off brake and it's go time.

That makes sense. Not really too sure how to wire that up though. Any pointers?
