you can "use" a wideband with or without tuning software, but if you want to log it on hp tuners, you will have to use a 0-5v sensor from the car. the two most popular to use would be EGR(being a 98 this is the most common since most have it deleted) or thru your AC if your vehicle dont have a egr. there are a ton of info on hp tuners forums with details, but basically your loging that sensor but and you tap your wideband into it so thats what is reported to your log is your wideband output
