What is a Little Black Box Plugged into the TB to the Alternator?

Question What is a Little Black Box Plugged into the TB to the Alternator?
I bought my wife a 99 Trans Am and it through code 137 Generator L-Terminal Circuit.I found a Little black box plugged into the TB coming from the Alternator.I don't know if this is a problem ,but I did Not have this on my 99 Camaro.What is it? Thanks Guys...
