Default 98 Alternator Wire Run To PCM???

Simple question... does the red wire that goes to the alternator run to the PCM on the 98's? If so, what pin does the wire go to? I did a PCM swap and now my alternator isn't working. I also installed a new wiring harness (98) and it seems everything is hooked up right.

Lastly, the red wire that hooks to the alternator... should it have 12 volts or close to that when the ignition is on? I just need to know what's going on. I had the alternator tested and it passed all tests so I know it's working. Battery will take a charge from a battery charger. I'm lost. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It does not run to the pcm and do not give it 12v. It runs directly to the cluster via the c210 or c220 connector. I forget which..

Thanks! Did a little more research and it appears to be the C220 connector. There's voltage inside the interior after the connection, but somewhere along the line out to the alternator it must have a break 'cause there's zero voltage out there. Damn wiring issues. Thanks again for the response!

Check Continuaty from plug to plug. If it aint there then just run a new leg. It's a very thin wire.

I think that's the plan. I imagine tracking down the break would be a royal nightmare with the thin wire and with it running through the firewall in the gromet below the PCM, behind the intake... really not looking forward to that. Thanks for your help!

Ran new wire, now have voltage at alternator clip... will get alternator put back on and hopefully report back with a charging battery. Thanks again everyone!
