Are 93-97 trans am computers the same?

Default Are 93-97 trans am computers the same?

I have a 97 trans am and the guy who tried to do the tune said it was locked or the computer is bad. so can i put any year computer in my 97?

You can use a 96-97 CPU as plug-and-play.

If you get a 94-95 cpu you need to either
a) Swap to a 94-95 knock sensor, or
b) Solder a resistor inside the cpu to use your stock knock sensor.

93 would be speed density and 94-95 would be OBD1 as well.
