Default unable to tune

Ok I have a 98 camaro z28 and my car im told is unable to be tuned. According to the performance shop that I am at there is a glitch where most of the programmers are unable to communicate. I need to find a programmer that has flash capability and can turn off the downstream O2 sensors, I am unable to drive the car at this point since I am running to lean at 18 to 1 and I need to be at 12 to 8.

Can anyone help!!!!

One, forget about "programmers" (handheld), even
if they were up to the present job they are too
limited. Some handhelds never did support '98s.
Any of the PC based tools will talk to a '98. You
have extra things to watch out for but you can
get it done.

Two, downstream sensors have nothing to do with
your AFR, and how you know your AFR without a
scan tool and wideband is a serious question too.

well lets see my car is sitting on a dyno jet right now and Im not looking for a hand held I am looking for the program software to tune the car. Hp tuner is the only thing that will possibly tune the 98 camaro however there are no shops in my area or anywhere within 100 miles that have that software

i have a hypertech that tunes 97-98s... i dont get why shops are so ******* stupid. hp tuners, efi live, or ls1edit will tune 98s. if you need to tow the car 100 miles do it, we cant magically help you bro.

rear o2 sensors DO NOT affect the tune... i think you need to contact Frost and have a mail order tune done for 100$ bro.
