Default What Do You Guys Think?.. Do I Need Another Tune?

ok heres my dilema, i bought a 2000 camaro ss a year ago from a guy in missouri. The camaro was tuned by "St. Louis Power Tuners", i know because i have the dyno sheet. I need a new clutch and updated hydraulics. Speed Inc is only 25 minutes from my house and they will be doing the clutch and so i thought maybe a tune while its there. So what do you guys think.. can i get more horse/torque out of the camaro? and what kind of numbers are reachable with the mods i have? Or are those pretty good numbers? I thought i read on here somewhere that with an agressive tune and a stock motor guys are reaching almost 350hp to the wheels... or am i just dumb?.. I am looking to get an agressive tune but still keep reliability, not worried about gas, its just a weekend warrior. Heres the #'s of the final tune.

Max power: 339.96 Run conditions: 69 degrees
Max Torque: 352.31 Humidity: 13%

Mods:

SLP 1.75" Tuned Longtube Headers w/ SLP High Flow Cats
SLP 3" Y Pipe
Borla 3" Adjustable Cat back
SLP Airbox Lid
SLP 85mm MAF w/ SLP Smooth bellow
LS6 Intake Manifold
SLP Harmonic Balancer/ Underdrive Pulley
Hypertech 180degree Thermostat
Taylor Thundervolt 50 wires w/ NGK Double Platinum spark plugs
Strange Engineering 12-bolt Rear End w/ HD Eaton 33 spline super strength Posi Unit
33 Spline S/S Axles
US Strange 3.73 Gear set

I'd be more interested in what MPH in the 1/4 or 1/8th you have been running. (And equally important- at what DA?)

Dyno's are tools for tuning, maximum safe MPH on a track is what I think you are seeking-a more representative portrail of what kind of power your car has and what is possible with the mods you now have.

Get it tuned while it is there. You already have doubt in your tune. They will fix you up.

you're making 340rwhp with bolt ons and you have a 12 bolt, so you have to decide if whatever they want to charge for the tune is worth -5 to +10hp because IMO you are about normal now and its a crap shoot if you could gain or maybe even lose a couple

does the car have any driveability issues? if not and it were my car I would wait until a cam to worry about dropping money on a tune

I definitely hear what you're saying about wanting to take it to a respectable shop and don't blame you there, but it sounds like the car is doing well and tunes get expensive quick.

My car on the other hand needs a good kick in the ***...330-340rwhp with a cam, headers, fast, ect just isn't gonna cut it. So keep in mind things could be a lot worse

i just got quoted from speedinc on cam install with rods, springs and everything else w/ a tune and it was $1,915.82. BUUUT the earliest they can get me in is 3-4 weeks. Not happy... yea you should definitley be rollin with more rwhp with what you got on the motor.
