Default Map sensor problem

First off, car is a 1998. When i log with hptuners, the map reading stays in the 15map kpa range no matter what...idle or wot. It does fluctuate afr and does not stay a fixed afr number. Tested wiring: 5volt source/OK, ground/OK, sensor signal/OK...when i bridge the 5volt and signal should i be getting 5volt?(I am). Took apart pcm to test for continuity between pins#:64/5volt,#26ground,#48signal..continuity good on all 3 so i dont see a short anywhere in the wiring.

Did a switch with another car(2000) for the map sensor, 2000 car still ran great so not the sensor. Ran hptuners on both cars to test the kpa on the map. On the 1998 car, hp tuners reads ZERO map with key on and ZERO map with sensor wiring disconnected. 2000 car reads 98map with key on and around 10 with sensor wiring disconnected. So obviously the hptuners isnt broken.

Dont know what else to check, there are no obstructions in the intake either. Tried a write entire too thinking computer was going nuts, still zero map. This just happened over night, Any ideas???

Quick log to the store, sd tune:

I've got a stock map sensor if you need one. PM me if you want it for a couple bucks.

You have a bad PCM. You have checked everything else. Either your checks are wrong or something you can't check is the problem. Simple elimination.

Thanks for the reply. My checks were done correctly. I thought of the bad pcm theory, just wanted to hear it from someone else without bringing it up in my post. Might be time to swap to a 99+ pcm. Anyone else?

I don't think it is the computer.

Maybe another bad sensor on the circuit.

when you run the scanner and look at the gauge display, the map reading still shows 0 kpa... isn't this unrelated to the histograms?

relax guy!! wiring is good, map sensor is good, tried starting car w/ map unplugged and car wouldn't start. Plugged map back in, car started, pulled map back out and car died.
So, it seems that my map is just not reading on hp tuners. Shitty thing because I can't tune the damn thing without those readings... Looked at logs from last year, and hp tuners read the map perfectly. The only changes that were made to the car were: pulled a/c off, upgraded to bigger injectors, and i changed the fan settings.
Should i burn it??

problem solved by 4bangermustang. The correct sensors were not set up properly in the table view for hptuners.

still considering burning this slow junk...
