1999 Truck PCM will not accept 3 bar OS ???
I am a HPTuners newbie, and I am finally getting my conversion finished up.
I went to load a base tune in the 1999 truck PCM that I have, and it will only accept a 2 bar OS.
I already have the GM 3 bar MAP wired up, and I was wondering if I can have the PCM flashed as a later version (year) to accept a
3 bar OS?
The MAP is reading 53 KPA with the key on right now.
If not, could I run the 3 bar MAP with a 2 bar tune just for initial start up?
Being a fresh engine, new trans, etc, I want to be able to just cruise the car around the neighborhood to make sure there are no issues before having it tuned on the dyno at Speed Inc.
I was under the impression that all the 1999 PCM's could go 3 bar, so I am at a loss as to what to do. ???
I have read the stickys/FAQ and I could not find any information.
Any input would be appreciated as I don't want to waste the credits I have already used, and I would like to be able to start up the car this week.
Thanks !!!
