Default how do i get rid of part throttle kr?

I'm getting something like 6 degrees of knock at a lil over 1/2 throttle but it varies, Now bear in mind I've never had a tune up on an ls2 with 125,000 miles on it. I dont know if I can get rid of it without a tune up, I'm on a diablosport tuner I'm not even sure I can give it enough fueling to get rid of it. When it comes down to it I'm not even sure I should try on stock plugs and wires.

It sounds like you have multiple issues.

With that many miles and without a superior tuning suite, you probably should first insure the engine is in good working order before proceeding with tuning.

I.E., check plugs, wires, compression check etc.

Until then you really can not address the tuning issues you might be having.

KR can be caused by too much timing, not enough fuel, or some valvetrain issue.

Check those items out and let us know.

Good luck.

yeah I got some valvetrain noise and I havent messed with the timing curve. the Kr is worse when it's in 2nd gear when it bogs down. Yeah tell me about it I need to get a tune up trust me I know LOL

I would get some good quality gas for your next fill-up, maybe dump in a bottle of octane booster. You should not be getting KR, especially not 6 at part throttle with just a diablo tune.

These guys are right.

Get a fresh set of plugs and wires on it, you cant expect those types of parts to perform for over 100,000 miles. May also want to look into a fresh fuel filter.

think she's starving for fuel? I run 93 octane from bp all the time and it's never given me problems. It could be false KR right?

Get a wideband and you will know what ti A/R is. If you hear banging then it is false.

Yeah I hear banging all the time but that's because I'm on a BMR tq arm and a relocation bracket for the trans mount so my chassis is stiffer then what it was but I'm still on stock shocks and etc etc so the chassis moves more then it should.
