How much power am I down with 4 degrees timing retard Simple bolt-on ls1. I had a bad knock sensor and couldn't get the car to trap over 110 mph at the track the other day. It's a 6spd car and I'm not a bad driver. B4 the knock sensors went bad, I've had the car trap 113.5. With 4 degrees of retard(pcm does this when there is an ignition problem), how much power was I losing? I'm thinking somewhere around 20 hp, but I may be wrong.
