Question about part throttle kr...
I have a 04 gto w/ cam and headers. The motor has forged rods and pistons. It is a 6 speed car.
I have an aeroforce scan gauge that is on the dash, along with an aem wideband 02 sensor. The aeroforce allows me to watch timing and kr, as well as whatever else I want.
I am noticing a lot of kr, and wonder if it is something that I need to be concerned about.
This happens when I am accelerating and lightly on the throttle in any gear usually between 1000 and 2000 rpm. It is not easy to duplicate either...sometimes it is there, sometimes it isn't.
If I am cruising in 6th at 60 or so mph, and very easily give it gas, I am getting up to 5 degrees of kr. When it does this if I give a little more gas it will go away.
I never seem to get this under full throttle, or any moderate load on the engine. I can put the car in 4th gear and floor it from 1000 rpm and never get kr.
