Default Anyone had a tune "dump" on them??

My friends car was tuned using edit, and then shortly after it seems the tune was "overrun" or "dumped." The timing went back up at WOT when the hi & lo octane have a max of 26* he was getting 30*, the idle went from smooth starts to rough and stalling. The car normally dies out after cranking now. WTF? It has been retuned and again the same thing happened, timing went back up when logged and idle went back to hell, not all the time, but more so than not.

Plus some questions:

1) what is base spark in drive used for?

2) when does the injector offset need to be messed with?

3) PE/rom is for WOT tuning correct?

Thanks,

Charlie.

I've seen this happen to cars being tuned only on the dyno, then when they get some street miles it learns some L-terms and screws up the rest of the tune.
Was the car tuned just on the dyno?
I'm under the impression that once you reflash the computer with Edit, thats it.It can't go back without reflash.

Yeah the car was tuned like this:
Predator.....then on a dyno using Edit and seems to have relearned its old timing and idle. Then sent an updated timing and idle edit file not on dyno, started up good and idled as desired, now its getting hard to start again and idle is rough.
