PCM question for conversion
I'm not sure which forum to post this in, as it has to do with conversions also.
I am going to be removing the LS1 from my 99 Vette. The engine has only 30k on it, does not smoke, and runs great.
I also have a 69 Camaro with a EFI 468 rat motor that has an incurable case of vapor lock, due to the heat generated by the engine, and the fact the the fuel rail is bolted up close to the intake. The fuel gets to 130' enough to boil it.
So what I want to do is remove and sell the big block and install the LS1. This leads me to my question, I will need to buy a copy of LS1 edit, and I will want to edit the PCM in both cars. Should I just get another 99 PCM and have it flashed with the same calibration as my Vette, with the Vette's VIN as a start point? Will I be able to edit both PCMs with the same copy?
Or should I get another VIN and use that for the other engine?
