You can check out our full vehicles listing here http://www.hptuners.com/products/vcmsuite_vehicles.php the hardware we use is about as future proof as it gets regarding vehicles.

If you have any specific questions regarding our hardware, software, vehicle support or capabilities let me know.

Bill,

I've been meaning to ask, isn't the link in your signature that says RTT for only $49 a little misleading? As far as I understand, for any vehicle, RTT requires an enhanced OS...and that costs 2 credits. 2 credits at $49.99 each sounds more like $99.98 to me.

I'd recommend to get the pro version. It's a great package.

currently I am unaware of any OBDIII vehicles, and the J2534 spec does not specify a new connector last time I read it.

i think the limit lies more with the stock ecm's power limit/rpm than having the program stumped and useless by the ecm's.

the ecms can control a ~1000 hp engine after that id be surprised if an aftermarket ecm wasnt used anyways.

It's not the peak HP number that matters. Rather, control at high engine speeds.

You could safely use any early model LS1 ECU (and up) for anything below 8000RPM. If an ECU needs to be fitted and you want to stick with GM the E67 ECU that utilises the 60-2 crank wheel is my preference for anything serious and for very high RPM, although I have reservations about the 4-pole cam wheel & harmonics.

You have to factor in costs for harnesses and gauge support, and most likely if you already have a stock LSx ECU fitted you would just go with that.

For aftermarket, theres heaps of options, ranging from engine controllers like Autronic, Pantera, Competition Systems, BigStuff, Magnetti Marelli etc... through to transmission controllers like Powertrain Control Systems, BigStuff3 etc... Costs vary significantly. This is just off the top of my head and from my own limmited research.

If you are budget restricted that will ultimately be your controlling factor
