Default how do I Disable second gear starts.

When I load the converter real hard on the starting line my car will take off in second instead of first and wont go out of that gear. I remember reading that this can be disabled but I can't remember how.

Anyone have a clue?

I have never heard of this. You're telling me that even when you have the selector in 1, D, or OD, the thing actually starts in 2nd? It shouldn't do that unless you have the selector in 2nd. You have a weird problem and I wish I could help.

if you load the converter real hard. The car will take off in second and stay there for the whole run.
I puts it into trans saving mode I guess. Selector is in drive.

That's a strange one. You know, it seems like I remember my Suburban doing that once. Never my F-bodys though. I wish I knew what to tell you.

That would make sense. Maybe boosting the line pressure a little bit would stop the slippage (if by slippage we mean clutch or band slippage) and get rid of the problem.
