idle issues
I just bought a 2000 Z28. From what I was told it has 228 cam, pacesetter LT'S, SLP Loudmouth.
Sometimes when idling it will stall and search for idle. Sometimes it will idle fine with no problems at all. Once going it runs great. I have found the MAF has no voltage like it was turned off. This car has been tuned a few times, so I was told. I have no idea what tuning software was used.
Does it seem that it was tuned in SD or does it seem there is a MAF issue? Probably not enough info and I do not have tuning software available except diagnostic tools at the shop.
Thanks for any input.

If the MAF does not output a frequency then its dead.
If the VE and MAF tables were not tuned (with a wideband O2) it can search for idle, also you need about 4 degrees more timing in the idle timing tables over stock for a cam like that.
If its a A4 car, you need to get the idle RPMs to 850 and bump up the Running Airflow table some.
Sounds like you need a better tune.
