Default copy stock segment to cos3??

just a quick. I need to copy a fuel segment from a stock tune over to my COS3 tune. EFI Live of course. If I can not bring these up for a compare due to two different OS, is there another way to do it? Thanks.

Two thoughts, but never did it
What happens if you would copy the segment before updating the OS?
Doesn't EFI Live have any force command to do it?

You have to open the two tunes in separate instances of efl and compare/copy the parameters one at a time. you can set them up side by side.

Takes a couple hours to do the whole tune. Not too bad.

Not that I know of....

Do you think I could take another program that is already coS3, but which has the same base OP from the start. Example, mine was 1225074 before it became 1290003. the program I need the segment from is 12212156 (its COS3 counter part would be 02020003). It is a long process, but I think I would have to install the segment in it first, then I should be able to go from one COS3 to another. How does my logic sound, or am I off base?

I think it will still tell you it's a differant OS

Email Paul Blackmore paul@efilive.com
And see what he says, send him both files and see if he can get them swapped for you.
He was very helpful to me, when I was having some issues. If he can't help you, I'm sure he'll point you in the right direction. By the way, he's located in the down under, so they're on a totally differant time, then us, so don't be surprised, if you don't get responses, during our normal business hours. Let me know how you make out. I recently switched to Efi Live scaning program, but plan on updating to their editing software in the near future.

I guess I will have to give paul a ring. I am needing the fuel gauge segment of a 2002 express van after a repin of the 98 harness to a 2001 computer. I am still not sure about this procedure.

I think you need to use the 12212156 OS to be able to use the express van segment. Your best bet is to start with that, then go to COS3 from there. Maybe you could make a script that would change the new cos3 with your old settings?

Yep... That is what I had to do. I just finished it 3 minutes ago. I know it was a PITA, but at least I know it is correct.

Thanks everyone.
