Default Po102 & po155

So lately I have been having some starting issues with the car. If the vehicle is warm it doesn't want to turn over without a jump. Swapped the battery out and the alternator appears to be doing its job. On the way home from the parts store after getting the alternator tested and the car jumped the SES light came on. I figured it was my typical PO155(Right bank o2 heater malfunction) which it was but it also threw a PO102 which is a low voltage to mass air or something like that. Ever since the car threw the PO102 it really seems down on power as in like my f'n stock '03 grand prix would give it a run for its money! Car seems to run rough as well. I did my research and found that a popped ENG SEN fuse underhood is a fairly common culprit. Checked the fuse and it's good. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start looking?

Pink wire from ENG SENS fuse is common between O2 heaters and MAF.

If the fuse is good, check that wire.

I am just confused as to why the pink wire gets 12v at the harness that plugs into the MAF but the code says low voltage.

Low voltage is what the PCM sees not what is measure at the MAF with a DMM.

The P0102 is causing you run off the low octane timing tables and VE airflow table. Which is why you're down on power.

so any suggestion on where to start? Keep in mind that I am rather new to diagnosing this type of stuff. I am trying to learn my way around the car better so I don't have to shell out the cash everytime I have a problem so someone else can fix the damn thing.

Maybe the MAF is just bad. Does it set the code all the time? Can you borrow a MAF and make sure that yours isn't bad?

my buddy has an 02 WS6 M6 I could probably use his if it would be compatible. I have been looking at the SLP 85mm MAF. Does anyone have any experience with those.

The code popped immediately after the car was jumped the last time I started it. I got home plugged in my scanner and the PO102 and PO155 are the two that popped up. This is the first time that the PO102 has ever came up that I am aware of. As far as the PO155 goes that thing pops on and then back off every once in awhile. Could it be possible that the right bank o2 is causing this problem?

Mine is doing a P0102 also now.

One thing I noticed, which may be coincicental, is that my air pump for the air ride was running, which draws a lot of current.

But even when that finished, I still get the P0102 code.

I don't have access to another one to test with. I'd hate to purchased that if it isn't needed.

I will check for 12v at teh pink wire that feeds the MAF and see if I'm getting that.

I also have a 240sx with an LS1, and my OBD2 check turned this code up P0102, I guess I should be checking my wiring though... cause my donor car was in a stronge accident where I got my wiring back in a bad condition... But I wouldn't be suprised if my MAF is burnt either...

if it is the MAF dont get an SLP get a truck MAF, its 85mm and works better than SLP, you will need some tunning to get your AFR back in line. Good luck figuring it out

Agreed. Get the 85mm Truck/ZO6(ls6) MAF. Same thing, less money.

You will also need to tune your MAF tables though to get everything back in line. Your fuel trims can only do so much.

But isn't the SLP already calibrated...? this makes it a plug and play... cause I don't have HP tuners or any other tuning device so I guess I'd rather get something that works as soon as I plug it...

where are you? Im sure someone in your area might be able to help you with maf tuning. Its very quick and simple to do.

As far as the "calibrated" maf sensors go, I personally think is BS.

As soon as you put on a lid or exhaust, its going to send the tables out of whack a tad anyways.

If your in the southern california area, I can help you out.

lol no bro, I ain't even in the states... I'm from the Middle East, to be exact I'm from a small country Called: Lebanon... I have an LS1 on a 240sx, S13 and I'm trying to figure everything out... now its the following:
240sx + LS1 + TH400 (with a final drive of 4.11) which is killing me

Now I'm going after the codes, and then I will be back to finish up the differential issue...

So you think I should just go with a MAF from a truck? can you be more persice as to which truck? and how much does a good tuner cost me... something used!

Thanks

Well then... Marhaba,. keyfuk?

What part of Lebanon? My fiancee is from Baskinta. I was there 2 years ago and can't wait to go back. I fell in love with that place. Lebanon is truly amazing. Im even considering moving there for a year or so while I still can.

I don't know if a diablo sport tuner would work for you, but I do know that you can have full custom tunes downloaded from a tuner to your computer, then uploaded to the predator, which you can then apply to your car.

Ill shoot you a PM.
