Can A-Tap help with tranny
I keep hitting the rev imiter on the 2-3 shift at WOT. Can A-tap help find out if anything is wrong with the tranny or converter, or what the shift points are at the 2-3 shift. I don't think it's the tranny, I just got a leval 4 and this was doing it before the new tranny.

AT and EFILive can get you RPM and wheel speed data, but the shift points are hardcoded into the PCM. That is not a "dynamic" item that is sent out on the class 2 buss.
I presume a leva[e]l 4 is an aftermarket transmission?
What does the Mfg. of the tranny (and TC) say about this application/ combination - Have you looked at their websites?
If you have a GM shop manual, the data is on page 7-65 (2000 edition) , and stock 2-3 WOT should happen at 5900RPM, however your mods and tire diameter may be 'confusing' the PCM.
With new heads and those other mods, I would HOPE you have had your PCM tuned, and in that case, what does the tuner say - What is the rev limiter set to?
What fluid are you running?
Any indications of frothing or overheating?

And would be nice to let us know some other comments from other boards, so we don't reinvent the wheel!

Maybe put your MPH and RPM shift points lower? You need
to give the trans enough time to do its business (and the
stock programming is grandma slow). With a converter &
mods you may just run through the RPM faster than the
stock trans settings plus trans shift time can keep up.
