Default Hptuners in a Virtual Machine (os X)

I usually run hptuners on my macbook pro with bootcamp so it is a genuine windows xp install and its always worked great. Unfortunately you have to reboot to windows and I hate doing that sometimes.

I was wondering if anyone has succesfully used hptuners in a virtual machine?

I thought id try it and maybe start by doing scanning and if that works, maybe start tuning with it. Would there be anything to worry about?

I am worried it might not work perfect and toast my pcm. The way i understand it is that if i do a calibration-only write, even if it fails, i can still overwrite it and be just fine.
