HP Tuners related- Simple questions step inside So I got my laptop all setup last night and was able to click on the yellow lightening bolt and bam it was scanning. When I want to scan a tune do I have to let it go through the whole cycle or can I just let the car idle for a couple minutes and then download the tune? I have no idea what the hell I am doing but will have this figured out in the next few weeks. HAHA

Open the editor, not the scanner, turn the key to run, not start, with the motor off. Then there will be a button that looks like a computer chip with a red arrow on it. Click that, that'll open the box to begin downloading the tune.

The next best money you should spend is on the tuning literature from
The Tuning School! The material will take you step by step on how to do everything you need to do! If you do not have a wideband 02 you need one of those as well for street tuning.
