Default adding a screened maf

i currently have a delphi85mm maf without the screen. i think it isnt working properly. will adding a delphi 85mm maf with a screen affect the tune?

It will change some things. It may or may not be what you need.

The car just needs to be tuned (properly) with the MAF you're going to run.

What he said, the screened MAF will change the fuel trims but still should remain within the PCMs range of adaptability, so no major issue. You might want to check the AFR at WOT on a chassis dyno. The PCM is very adaptable for the normal drive around stuff and get your back to 14.7:1 by changing the LTFTs. However, the PCM is much less adaptable at WOT.

You may feel it run slightly more stable,
But that would only be if the Maf needs the airflow smoothed by the screen before entry.
Tune has adaptive learning. Can accept a lot more than just the addition or deletion of a screen.
