Default 08 Z06 Misfire Issue

I have a 08 Z08 with a cam and supercharger. The misfire count will count up above 100 and flash the check engine light for 5-10 sec then go back off. It doesnt throw a dtc code though. Any ideas guys?

Has the car been tuned for the cam?

Yes and it run and drives well. I can data log it and watch the knock count get above 100-120 and the check engine light will flash but it will not throw a dtc, then the light will go off after 10 second or so. It only happens sometime on cold start and also when crusing below 1800 rpms. The light flashing and not throwing a code it what is throwing me off.

Sounds like it needs to be tuned by someone with in depth knowledge of the E38s. They're a different beast.

Without seeing a data log or tune, or knowing what your cam specs are, it's awfully hard for anyone to tell you what needs to be done to fix it. But judging by the symptoms described, and knowing what I know about the E38s, I'm pretty confident it can be cured in the tune.

Is it a misfire or a knock? Just a wild guess, do you have too much timing for the octane rating of the fuel. That boost ups the compression to where it needs some high octane gas.

I got it fixed. It was the way one of the rear O2's were turned off. Very odd.
