h/c ls7 wont start easy

Default h/c ls7 wont start easy

i have a heads/cam ls7 in my buddys camaro, and it wont start easy... just cranks and cranks, once it does start, perfect, but sometimes it starts PERFECTLY... touch the starter and its alive... any suggestions? the car is UNTUNED... only thing i did is set injectors.

someone mentioned it might be a cam sensor problem? when trying to make it start, it sputters and back fires, but wont start... then when i try again it starts right up perfectly... but i get no tach

Yep sounds like a cam sensor problem. The ecu uses the cam sensor to see what cycle the engine is on. If its not right it will pop and sputter or it can start right up. The ecu will try and "guess'' which one its on if it does not see a signal.

Are you getting and CEL's?
