low idle on start up
hey i have this problem with my car when i start it when its cold. well when i start it the rpms stay at 500rpms and after 15 seconds or so then it idles smoother to about 1000rpm. Most of the time during start up it also smells like raw fuel and white/blue smoke comes out of my ehaust. anyone have any ideas what this could be? info on the car are 2002 ta with tr230 cam with bolt ons six speed.

white blue smoke comes out your exhaust....uh, do you have some bad seals somewhere?
low idle on cold start up could be many things. I wonder what the tune shows about startup & cold conditions?? how many miles on the car?

It sounds strange, but if it works good, then its no problem.
Usually the idle RPM are higher when cold. When the ECT rises the IDLE RPM drops to desired idle RPM (800 for a stock car, sometimes higher for a cammed one).
If the exhaust smells only a few minutes after startup, then the fuel smell and smoke stop, I think it is OK, but its hard to know without looking at your calibration file.
Anyway, if you have no tuning software, you can't do anything about it.

and it sounds to me like the tuner didn't do a good job on cold starts & with the airflow tables.
WHICH, sometimes is hard to do as its warm outside... so, have a checkup on that

Both codes mean your O2 sensors aren't reaching proper operating temperature.
If an O2 sensor is not properly heated it can't work, so your car must be operating in open loop. They may be the cause of your problems
You can try new O2. You may want to check them first before buying a new set.
