Default should I get it tuned?

About 4 months ago I got a tune on my car. The car had all the mods in my sig minus headers+ory. I just installed the lts + ory and im not doing any mods for a long time. Should I get another tune for the headers?

The tuned is not a "must" but if it were mine I would get it tuned for sure. See if you can get it just street tuned for a couple hundred bucks, unless you want dyno numbers.

The long tubes move the O2s and will usually affect fueling by making the car read one way but run another-

Tuning is recommended

I know it sucks to have to retune man. But for best fuel mileage and life of the motor I would retune.

Yes. Though it is probably just minor adjustments. May change your VE ~5-8% in the mid and upper RPMS. If you are still running MAF, it might be just as easy as some fuel trim adjustment.

I might just go for a reputable mail-order tune, or get someone with some tuning software to give you a hand.

Hows it run? Any different (tune-wise)? I am not advocating no tune, just suggesting you might be able to get a reasonable deal or some help locally.

Good luck..

It runs the same as before which is good. It could be in my head but when I first drove the car after lts it seemed like it may have lost a little tad bit of super low end torque. But it really screams. I love this setup better than on my 98.
Like I said its gonna be a long time till I get any other mods so im gonna get it full tuned. Ill have a good comparison dyno number before and after lts.

Ok so what exactly does a tune do and what does it consist of. i have a 2000 ss m6 camaro with LT's, off road y, and i removed the air-and egr.
So will i feel more power out of my car with a mail order tune?
How much horsepower can i expect out of a mail order tune vs no tune?
I just want to be ready for that new mustang thats coming out im a little scared!

A tune not only benefits your WOT AFR, spark, etc., but it can enhance your part-throttle and cruising driving.

If you can get an additional +5% increase in Hp/TQ at WOT..thats pretty good. You can do it either on a dyno, mail order, or tune it yourself. Theres are a lot of threads that can give you more info..

For the OP, if it is running as good as you stated (headers are fun!), then perhaps you can consolidate your tuning dollars until you add more modifications. If you are running closed-loop and your O2's are switching normally..and chances are your WOT AFR is still within the target zone..I might just trust my SOTP and enjoy!
