Firing/Fuel issue, car dead at stoplight.
Got something to eat in town last night, started up the car and proceeded to pull to stoplight, about when the light turned green the car died. Cranked it for 45 minutes and about every 5th or 6th time it would sputter once. Had plenty of fuel at the rail. After about giving up and going home to get a trailer, i turned the steering to the left and the right a few hard times(remember the old ignition problems of the 80s gm stuff) and it fired right up. No problems since.
Conditions: it was the worst rainstorm earlier that day we have had in many many years. Though I had started it a good 5-10 times before this an had driven 60 plus miles.
I have no clue where to begin, as I though VATS wouldnt let it crank.

one day my car just suddenly died and then would hardly run and I checked fuel pressure with a gauge and it was down to 16 lbs. so we pulled the walbro out and come to find out the rubber hose running from the pump to the top of the tank had dry rotted and finally split apart. It could also possibly be a ground issue somwhere.

Update for anyone that reads this in the future.
Car has had a lot of problems since this post, guages would jump, injectors would dump fuel.
Did the bypass, nothing helped. Turned out the pcm was shot, bought a rebuilt one and then had it flashed with the newest GM tune. All fixed
