Default AIR pump

i've got a 2000 SS. if i disconnect/remove my AIR pump will it throw a code? Also the same with the EGR. i imagine the EGR needs to be tuned out, but hey, might as well ask.

Yes, they will both throw codes and need to be tuned out...

leave the air pump fuse in and i dont think it will throw a code. but the egr will

If you remove the air system it will set a code when the pcm runs the readiness test for it. When the pcm commands the air system to turn on it looks at the upstream o2's to see the the change in oxygen in the exhaust. If there is no change, ses light comes on and codes are set. Has to be tuned out if you want to remove it.Plenty of info on these mods if you search.
